Ahren Posthumus is a South African entrepreneur and innovator with a passion for using technology to create meaningful social impact. He was awarded the Investec Entrepreneur Leader of the Year Award in 2016 and was recognised as the Mail & Guardian Editor's Choice for Innovation in its 2020 Top 200 Young South Africans list. In 2021, he received the GQ Man of the Year Award for Innovation, followed by the EPF Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2023. Ahren's work focuses on leveraging emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and blockchain, to address complex challenges and create opportunities at scale. As a Director of Heroes Academy, he brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to empowering young people to realise their potential.
A retired educator with 30+ years of service, is celebrated for her leadership and excellence in IsiXhosa education. At Oscar Mpetha High (1993–2023), she pioneered teaching methods, served as National/Senior Marker, and as Acting HoD achieved a 100% pass rate. Beyond schools, she is an Assessor for DBE and Stellenbosch University. With an Honours from UWC, her lifelong mission is nation-building through education and community development.
A Speech and Language Therapist with 28+ years’ experience, holds a Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology from UCT. She has worked across South Africa, London’s NHS and Social Services, and private practice. Passionate about helping children overcome communication challenges, she collaborates with families and professionals to create tailored support plans. Based in Cape Town, she runs a private practice while enjoying family time, meditation, and tennis.
An award-winning Public Entrepreneur and Innovator with 15 years in the public sector. A leadership coach and policy strategist, he specialises in strengthening micro-organisations and institutions. He holds degrees in PPE, International Politics, and a Master’s in Development Policy from UCT, plus executive training in development economics and resilience. A certified Integral Coach, Masi is pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at UCT’s Graduate School of Business.
A renowned DJ, cultural entrepreneur, and founder of Blank Kanvas, Community, iKasi Experience, and L.O.Y.D Sessions. Beyond entertainment, he has partnered with global media, entertainment, and FMCG giants on acclaimed campaigns. Known for his humility and vision, Loyd has built authentic connections with youth and leaders nationwide, positioning himself as a change-maker committed to empowering young people and collaborating with brands that share his values.
A DJ, Producer, Social Entrepreneur, Speaker, and cultural activist whose mission is to uplift his community. Starting his music career in 2006, he quickly collaborated with South Africa’s leading artists. He founded Khayelitsha’s pioneering Jump Start Academy, offering underprivileged youth access to DJ training and resources. Vincent’s projects reflect his passion for local culture, blending tradition, innovation, and social impact to inspire meaningful change.
A Chartered Financial Planner and Analyst, holds a BBSc (Hons) from UCT and is a Fellow of the Institute of Life and Pension Advisors. Formerly head of Investec’s European Banking Operations in the UK, he now leads MOKSH Enterprises and Water Financial, and serves as a non-executive Director at Trivium Capital. With expertise in leadership, strategy, and consulting, Chris is also a passionate marathon runner.
