ABOUT US

The Heroes Academy provides ongoing self-development workshops and programs for boys between the ages of fourteen and eighteen in low-income areas in South Africa. Our goal is to develop character and build skills in male school students, with the aim of deconstructing tenets of toxic masculinity, promoting an understanding of positive masculinity and fostering a mindset of critical inquiry.

THE PROGRAMME

Our programme aims to promote and cultivate an understanding of positive masculinity, consent, accountability, responsibility and courage in all participants. We seek to foster leadership skills and positive self-development through a series of activities, including interactive play, life skills, sports and inspirational stories of real-life heroes.
