What We Do

ABOUT US

The Heroes Academy provides ongoing self-development workshops and programs for boys between the ages of fourteen and eighteen in low-income areas in South Africa. Our goal is to develop character and build skills in male school students, with the aim of deconstructing tenets of toxic masculinity, promoting an understanding of positive masculinity and fostering a mindset of critical inquiry.

THE PROGRAMME

Our programme is designed to foster leadership skills and support positive self-development through a range of dynamic activities, including interactive play, sports, life skills training, and inspirational stories of real-life heroes. Central to our approach is the integration of Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL), which equips participants with the emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills necessary for lifelong success.
